High Quality stainless steel encased hopper magnets available in standard or extra strength variants.
Designed to sit in the material hopper and prevent metal objects from falling into the throat of the barrel they are fitted with integrated diverter bars that force the material to flow directly over the magnetic cores trapping things such as tramp metal, swarf or fasteners. When choosing which size to install the hopper magnet should ideally sit approximately 250mm above the base of the hopper.
The magnetic cores are encased in stainless steel tubes in order to prevent damage to the magnets themselves and stop broken / chipped parts falling into the machine.
Hopper magnets are a cost-effective way of preventing damage to the machine screw, nozzle, hot runners. Especially useful when using recycled material which can often contain contaminants.
